Adira is pleased to announce Clara Health as a sponsor

Clara Health’s vision statement is to: “Be the most trusted partner in furthering any healthcare journey.” We are committed to achieving this by democratizing access to breakthrough therapies and clinical trials. We believe a critical step in moving the needle forward is through partnerships with organizations like the Adira Foundation, who look to help better the lives of people living with disabling conditions. It is of paramount importance to our team to give back to the organizations making a difference in the lives of patients and caregivers.

The Clara Health team has had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with Adira to build a virtual care hub with the National Alliance for Caregiving. Through this collaboration we have been able to witness firsthand Adira Foundation’s unwavering commitment to the neurodegenerative disease community. Given Clara’s commitment to helping patients and caregivers with neurodegenerative diseases access breakthrough therapies via clinical trials, it was a natural fit.

Urgent need

There is an urgent need to support the neurodegenerative disease community. Conditions such as ALS, Alzheimer’s, Huntington’s, MS, and Parkinson’s are some of the most devastating diagnoses that can be delivered. But the promise of innovation and breakthrough therapies are on the horizon with many clinical trials in the pipeline and it will take partnerships like that of the Adira Foundation and Clara Health to drive these innovations forward.

And time is of the essence, because with many of these neurodegenerative diseases, they move fast.

As ALS patient advocate Sandy Morris shared when the Clara team interviewed her:

And so in ALS, I told you how fast we die, which is incredible. And it’s not just that we have to die, it is a brutal, brutal way to die. You will stop breathing. It’s almost like an anaconda, where it’s just going to start taking every piece of you until it’s weakened your diaphragm so much that you will die. … I think the message I want out there is we’ve got to work more quickly for a disease that deserves it. This disease is on the rise. … It needs a little money, it needs a little structure and it needs a little humanity. And basically all of that has been lacking, and that’s what we have to change.

Through a partnership with Adira Foundation, we want to move fast for the diseases that deserve it by making clinical trials more accessible for people living with neurodegenerative diseases.

Clara Health was founded to democratize access to clinical trials and ease the administrative burden often placed on patients and caregivers to find and enroll in studies. By importing over 60,000 clinical trials from public and private databases every 24 hours, Clara comprehensively helps patients find clinical trials that are tailored to their medical profile and study goals. The platform marries tech with a human touch, seamlessly guiding users to understand their options and apply to join studies of interest. Our in-house patient support team is available 24/7 for any questions you may have, and to interface with the medical research team on your behalf to navigate any roadblocks. We do this for free, for every medical condition, for every clinical study, so that everyone can access and contribute to the newest advancements in medicine.

Through a partnership with Adira Foundation, we want to move fast for the diseases that deserve it by making clinical trials more accessible for people living with neurodegenerative diseases.
