Register now for Adira’s Neurodegenerative Disease (ND) Congress in Washington, D.C., Nov. 17-18. We are seeking 51 people who have lived expertise to codesign solutions for funding in congress with 49 career experts. 

We invite you to register if you are:

  • Someone living with or caring for someone with ALS, Alzheimer’s or related dementias, Huntington’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and/or Parkinson’s disease.
  • Someone with career experience providing services for these communities—e.g. nonprofits, life sciences, government, academics, health professionals, etc.

People living with ND and caregivers

Adira will pay a small stipend to recognize the time and energy it takes to give us your expertise as people living with neurodegenerative disease and caregivers. If you are attending in person, we will arrange and cover your travel and lodging. The registration form will give you an opportunity to share your preferences about this.

In-Person Stipend: $500 per day

Virtual Stipend: $250 per day

COVID-19 Health & Safety Precautions

When traveling to the event, please follow CDC travel guidelines.

At the event, proof of vaccination will not be required. We encourage all attendees who are eligible for vaccination to be fully vaccinated and boosted.

The use of masks indoors is not required but is also encouraged.

  • All event spaces are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before and after sessions.
  • Masks will be available on site at no charge.
  • Rapid tests will be available on site at no charge.
  • Washrooms for frequent handwashing are available on site.
  • Simple tools to communicate your preferences regarding social and physical interactions will be available on site. You can let others at the event know if you are practicing social distancing, maintaining caution through limited interactions (e.g., elbow bumps), or are comfortable with close interactions and physical contact (e.g., hugs).

Lodging & Travel

You can reserve guest rooms through our room block at the Capital Hilton located at 1001 16th Street NW, Washington, D.C., 20036 until Oct. 15.

If you are a person living with a neurodegenerative disease or caregiver and are traveling to attend the event, Adira will make arrangements on your behalf. A member of JDC Events will contact you to work out the details of your travel (e.g., plane or train) and lodging.

If you are a career expert, rooms will be available in the Hilton room block for a special rate of $249/night + taxes and fees. This rate is available until the reserved room block is full or Oct. 15, whichever comes first. If you are unable to get a room at the Hilton there are other hotel options nearby.
