Adira Foundation engaged researchers at George Washington University to conduct a case study of three programs that have shown success in the transformation of care and services for people living with HIV to inform Adira’s efforts in advancing its mission of investing in better lives for people with neurodegenerative diseases. The three organizations are:

  • The Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (Ryan White program)
  • The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (The Global Fund)
  • The President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Response (PEPFAR)

Although not contagious, neurodegenerative diseases like HIV are complex chronic conditions and navigating care and support services present significant challenges for patients and their caregivers. Learn more about the research completed below.
